In this Melissa Belly Dance tutorial we do a sexy, girlie workout. Firstly we cover a bit of belly dance technique using our glutes, Melissa BellyDance style. Secondly, we learn how to do it turning with the "Peek A Boo." Thirdly, we do girlie squats and hair tosses, combining glutes and sexy hair flicks. And then, to top it all off, we put it all into a fun and girlie glute workout combination.

Belly dance is essentially made up of different types of muscular contractions that create various different shapes and deep internal movement, hence it's many healing qualities.

 

Did you know that belly dance is also a great workout for the brain too? in the Melissa Belly Dance school we nickname it the "brainfood" dance. There are various studies that show that dancing greatly reduces the risk of dementia. Not only does belly dance improve your memory but it also improves your ability to retain and recall information, such as when your are learning choreography. In addition to this you will also improve your coordination, strength, balance and posture!

 

Belly dance is also a great form of therapy for the menopause. I have many students who have sworn to the results and relief from the menopause by belly dancing with me.
